What You'll Be Doing

As a NurseCare Concierge nurse, you'll provide comprehensive post-operative care to patients recovering from plastic and reconstructive surgery. Your role will be multifaceted, combining clinical nursing skills with specialized manual lymphatic massage techniques.

Morning (8:00 AM - 10:00 AM)

Visit with a patient 2 days post-op for wound assessment, dressing change, and a 30-minute manual lymphatic massage session. Document care and communicate any concerns to the surgeon.

Mid-day (11:30 AM - 1:30 PM)

Meet with a patient 1 week post-op for a comprehensive lymphatic massage session, monitor healing progress, and provide education on self-care techniques. Update the care plan based on recovery progress.

Afternoon (3:00 PM - 5:00 PM)

Initial assessment for a new patient who will be having surgery tomorrow. Establish baseline measurements, review post-operative instructions, and set up the care plan in our EMR system.

Evening (as needed)

Respond to any patient messages or calls through our secure platform. Complete documentation and prepare for the next day's appointments.

Requirements

  • LPN/RN license in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Willingness to complete manual lymphatic massage training (if not already certified)
  • Reliable transportation for home visits
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort with electronic documentation systems
  • Professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in post-surgical care, plastic surgery, or wound care
  • Manual lymphatic massage certification or training
  • Experience with home health or private duty nursing
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with independent contractor status

Independent Contractor Status

Our nurses work as independent contractors, not employees. This arrangement offers flexibility and higher compensation, but requires self-management of taxes, insurance, and business expenses. We provide guidance on establishing yourself as an independent contractor.
